Robert "Bob" W. Bursmith

March 27, 1964 - January 26, 2021

Robert W. Bursmith, 56, of Northampton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 26, 2021. He was born in Holyoke on March 27, 1964, to William Bursmith and Diana (Bombardier) Kaminski. He was educated and attended schools in Holyoke and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. Bob was a devoted employee at Fitzwilly’s Restaurant in Northampton as a chef for 24 years. With his chef skills, Bob was kind enough to volunteer his time preparing meals for the homeless. He appreciated the serene sounds of nature while hiking and fishing. Bob loved listening and playing music on his guitar at home, he also loved his several trips to Florida to visit his mother, it is there too that he enjoyed making beautiful music with his stepfather. He would relish and talk frequently about all the wonderful memories he had while camping with his dad. But, most of all, Bob had so much love for his family, he will truly be missed by all who knew him. Bob is survived by his father William Bursmith and his wife Judy of Suffield, CT, his mother Diana Kaminski, and her husband Frank of Palm Coast FL, his brother; Steven Bursmith of Tomball, TX, his sisters; Sharon Picking of Wales, Cheryl Folta of Springfield, step-brother; Kelly Kaminski of Hollidaysburg, PA, and step-sister; Karin Chagnon of Norfolk, VA, and several nieces and nephews. All services will be at the convenience of the family. DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME of Northampton has been entrusted with his services.
