Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Olbris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Olbris 71, of Florence, passed away suddenly at her home in Florence on July 14, 2022. Betty was born on September 19, 1950, in Holyoke to the late Joseph S. and Genevieve M. (Yaskiewicz) Olbris of Florence, MA. Betty attended Northampton schools and lived her whole life in Florence. She enjoyed puttering around the house, gardening and especially the companionship of a couple of rescue beagles over the past years, Bobby, and Daisy. She always shopped local and was happiest spending time with her late husband Al. Her engaging style and generous nature will be remembered by family, many friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. She leaves her sister, Dorothy Sadlowski of Florence, along with nieces Darlene Morse of West Springfield, Maryann LaFlam of Williamsburg, Johanna Wright of VA and nephews Jim, Tom, Glenn, and Wayne Bilger along with Duane Olbris. Many cousins and other family will feel the loss as Betty was in touch with many regularly. Betty is pre-deceased by her beloved husband Alan “Zippy” Bardwell, Sr., brother Joseph A. Olbris Jr. of VA. Her sister Rose Bilger of Easthampton, passed shortly after on July 19th. No Funeral Services will be held at the present time; a celebration of life for Betty and her sister, Rose will take place at a later date. DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME of Northampton has been entrusted with her services.
