Christine Ann (Diemand) Kearney

Christine Ann (Diemand) Kearney, born on Christmas Day in 1930, passed away peacefully on January 17th at the age of 94. Chris was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rachel (Braman) Diemand of Northampton. She graduated from Northampton High School and worked for many years as an Executive Secretary at Kollmorgen Corporation, Lerma Engineering, and Attorney Welch’s Office in Northampton. Chris married Robert Kearney in September 1956. They shared 56 loving years of marriage before his passing in 2012. She was also predeceased by her parents Ernest and Rachel Diemand, her brothers Francis, Ernest, Bernard, and Richard Diemand, and her sisters Majorie Mizula and Marie Slattery. She is lovingly survived by her children, Susan Adnani and her husband Behrooz of Madison, Ct., Karen Boeglin and her husband Herman of South Meriden, Ct., she leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Alessandra Adnani of Wethersfield, Ct Jonathan Boeglin of South Meriden, Connecticut, and Alexander Adnani of Miami, Florida. Chris is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Faith and family were foremost in Chris’s thoughts and actions. She was a lifelong communicant of the Annunciation Chapel in Florence. Chris enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her husband, Bob working on wood crafts for the entire family. These hand-crafted gifts will give the family cherished memories for years to come. She also loved living in the New England area, frequently vacationing or day tripping with family and friends. She had a fondness for the beach and coastline of New Hampshire and Maine, making this the traditional family vacation destination for years. Having grown up on her family’s dairy farm, she fondly shared memories of that experience. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren at Look Park. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of the Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s Critical Care unit for their attentive and compassionate care. There will be a calling hour from 11 AM - 12 PM on Thursday April 3, 2025. A Prayer Service will be held at 12 PM, at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME,120 Damon Road, Northampton. A burial service will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Northampton.
